RALF RANGNICK is in the midst of an injury crisis at Manchester United and currently has just 14 senior players fit for action.
How Man Utd could line up against Chelsea
Elsewhere Jadon Sancho misses out through illness, while Fred has not recovered from a hip flexor problem in time to feature.
Paulo Pogba, Luke Shaw, Edinson Cavani are all also set to miss out, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka is a doubt with an unspecified issue.
Cavani is due back in training on Friday having played just 10 minutes of Premier League football since February 8.
Rangnick revealed Sancho has been struck down by tonsillitis, meaning Marcus Rashford is likely to start in his place.
That may well be the only change from the 3-1 defeat by Arsenal due to Rangnick’s lack of options.
Nemanja Matic and Scott McTominay will anchor the midfield in front of an unchanged backline.
When quizzed on the prospect of including youngsters, Rangnick said: “Well, it’s possible. We have quite a few players missing tomorrow and one or two still with question marks so we will have to wait and see until tomorrow to see if, for example, Aaron Wan-Bissaka can play.
“I already played Hannibal (Mejbri) at Liverpool so it’s possible [I’ll play youngsters] but we also have to be fair enough to those players.
“It has to be the right moment, they should have a chance to play well and perform well so it’s not just pushing them into a game. I think it should also be the right moment.”
Midfielder Hannibal Mejbri came on in the 4-0 defeat by Liverpool, while winger Alejandro Garnacho has been an unused substitute in the last three games.
But after Rangnick conceded that Champions League qualification was out of the question, he could be tempted to include the pair in his starting side.
