FORMER Arsenal midfielder Dani Ceballos has come to the defence of Mikel Arteta by responding to Piers Morgan’s criticism.
Sun columnist Morgan took to Twitter to blast Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on Monday.

He said: “This is actually a moment when Arsenal fans need to accept Arteta made a massive season-wrecking mistake in giving away Aubameyang and relying on Lacazette to lead the line.
“I said it would come back to haunt us – and it is.”
The disappointing result left the Gunners in fifth – outside the Champions League positions.
However, Dani Ceballos, who enjoyed a two-year loan spell in North London, was quick to come to the defence of his former boss.
He responded directly to Morgan, writing: “Friend, let him work, he is very good.
“He will also take Arsenal to where they deserve. Patience.”
Following the Gunners’ defeat on Monday, he dug out a tweet that he posted back in November which said: “We’ve got the wrong ex-Arsenal captain in charge. On tonight’s evidence, this (Vieira) is the guy we need.”
He referred back to it, stating: “Deja vu.”
“Vieira’s Palace giving us a lesson in aggression, desire and physicality. Least surprising revelation of the Millennium.”
He also called out Alexandre Lacazette: “BREAKING: Lacazette’s now gone 18 HOURS of Premier League football without scoring in open play. But yeah, so glad we got rid of Aubameyang.”
