Coughlan began playing Clare Devlin in 2018 as one of the main characters in Derry Girls.

Saoirse-Monica Jackson is a 28-year-old Irish actress.
She made her TV debut in 2016, when she landed the role of Sasha in Harlan Coben’s The Five, appearing in four episodes.
In 2018, her performance as Erin in Derry Girls was so well received that she was nominated for the IFTA Gala Television Award for Best Female Performance.

Louisa Harland is an Irish actress, best known for The Deceived (2020), Standby (2014).
She trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London.
After graduating, Harland landed a recurring role as Kayleigh in the RTÉ One series Love/Hate in 2011.

She studied performing arts at De Montfort University in Bedfordshire.
O’Donnell played her first big role as Eva Maguire in the BBC Two NI series 6Degrees.

Dylan John Llewellyn is a 29-year-old English actor.
In 2011, he began playing Martin “Jono” Johnson in the soap opera Hollyoaks and in the spin-off Hollyoaks Later.
More recently, in 2020, Llewellyn played Stewart Irmsby in an episode of series 9 of Call the Midwife.

Siobhán McSweeney is a 42-year-old Irish actress and presenter.
She gained a science degree at the University College Cork before moving to London where she secured a place at the Central School of Speech and Drama in 2001.
Her first role was in 2006 as Julia in the film The Wind That Shakes the Barley.

Tommy Tiernan is a 52-year-old Irish comedian, actor, and writer.
Aside from Derry Girls, he is best known for hosting The Tommy Tiernan Show.
Since September 2020, he is the presenter of the Tommy and Hector Podcast with Laurita Blewitt.

Tara-Lynne O’Neill is a 46-year-old film, theatre and television actress from Northern Ireland.
She later played Joanne Ryan in EastEnders between September 2002 and August 2003.
O’Neill is known for Becoming Jane (2007), Disco Pigs (2001) and Line of Duty (2012).

Clarke is an Irish actress that made her first television role was as Bernadette Brennan in Head over Heels in 1993.
More recently, in 2021, she played the role of Claire Keenan in Bloodlands.
Clarke has also appeared on stage in a number of productions which include: Macbeth, Primecut, The Recruiting Office, Heartbreak House, Hamlet, Pentecost, and Spokesong to name a few.
Ian McElhinney as Joe McCool

Ian McElhinney is a 73-year-old Northern Irish actor and director.
He worked as a teacher before pursuing a career of acting at the age of 30.
His first role was playing Bill Sykes in a theatre production of Oliver!
In 2010, it was announced that he would take on the role of Barristan Selmy in Game of Thrones, which he played till the fifth season until his character got killed off.
Who else stars in Derry Girls?
He said: “I know Lisa McGee, who created it, we emailed today about something actually. We’d talked about trying to get me to do something and it just kind of never worked out with locations and when they shoot, and I’m always away. I like the idea of popping up in that show, and I think it’s genius, and it makes me so proud.”
When is Derry Girls on TV?
Derry Girls season three is set to drop on Tuesday, April 12 at 9.15pm on Channel 4.
The third season was confirmed in April 2019, but due to the pandemic, filming was delayed.
Filming eventually began in October 2021, finishing in December the same year.
