The Jeremy Kyle Show was one of ITV’s most popular daytime TV shows during its years on the air.
The show, which began in 2005, featured a number of heated confrontations between guests working through relationship problems and family matters, with Kyle acting as a mediator.
It was the subject of much controversy for broadcasting such confrontations, and particularly for its use of lie detector tests to determine the outcome of certain discussions, despite a lack of scientific evidence to back up live detector results.
It was cancelled in 2019 following a guest committing suicide after their appearance on the talk show, a tragic event set to be explored in Channel 4 documentary Jeremy Kyle: Death On Daytime.
But what has Kyle been doing since the show went off the air, and is he going back to TV screens anytime soon?

Following the cancellation of the show, Kyle took a step back from TV appearances but has since returned to the radio airwaves with a Drivetime, a weekday 4-7pm show on talkRadio.
Upon his return to radio, Kyle, 58, discussed his feelings following the show being cancelled, saying he was nervous stepping back into the public eye.
‘I was walking around this morning and I thinking, “How do I start something like this? What do you say?”‘
He continued: ‘Let’s start by talking about the one thing people would expect me to talk about, which is what I did on television for 14 and a half years, that I am very proud of.
‘But we will know that there has been a situation, a tragic situation, and much has been written and much has been said.
‘For legal reasons – this is a fact – I can’t talk about that. But let me tell you this. When I can I will and it will be on this radio station. But for now, that is a closed chapter. What is important is this radio station.’
He is set to join Piers Morgan on the upcoming news channel TalkTV this year, although no release date has been announced yet.
Other presenters set for the Rupert Murdoch backed channel include Mike Graham, Trisha Goddard, Julia Hartley-Brewer, and Robert Rinder.
Is Jeremy Kyle married?
The TV presenter married his fiancee Vicky Burton, 38, in a low-key church ceremony at All Saints Church in Windsor, Berkshire in October 2021.
Speaking to The Sun after their wedding, Kyle described Vicky as his rock ‘in my darkest times.
‘So to see her today, having such fun enjoying the wedding of her dreams, was perfect.

‘Thankfully, at what is our sixth attempt after all the Covid cancellations and postponements, we got to enjoy the big day we’d both longed for.’
Burton, the former nanny to Kyle’s children, is the presenter’s third wife.
His first marriage to Kirsty Rowley lasted only a year from 1989 to 1990. He was married to his second wife Carla Germaine from 2002 to 2015.
Does Kyle have any children?
Kyle and Burton welcomed their first child together, a son, in February 2020.
This is Kyle’s fifth child, as he has three daughters from his marriage to Germaine – Alice, Ava, and Henry – and a daughter, Harriet, from his first marriage.
Burton was the nanny to Alice, Ava and Henry during Kyle’s second marriage, but it’s believed the couple didn’t get together until she had stopped working for the family in April 2016.
Jeremy Kyle: Death On Daytime airs on Channel 4 Sunday and Monday night at 9pm.
