Strictly Come Dancing’s Aljaz Skorjanec has revealed he was ‘struggling’ with work burnout after a demanding schedule in 2019, saying he was compelled to show his telephone off for an entire month.
The 30-year-old dancer spoke about his difficult 12 months, during which he had simply ‘seven or eight days off’.
Talking on the Power of 10 podcast with Graham Bell, Aljaz mentioned that he lower himself off from the world when he and his spouse Janette Manrara misplaced work because of the pandemic.
He mentioned: ‘In 2019 I had one week off and it was damaged up into days. I actually had seven or eight days off in the entire 12 months.
‘I used to be actually struggling on the finish of 2019. So when our tour in 2020 bought cancelled I simply mentioned, “I’m going to take this chance and do nothing.”’
Aljaz added: ‘So I switched off my telephone for a month. I actually switched off mentally and bodily. The one factor I’d do is go for a stroll simply to get some air.’

He added: ‘Janette and I stayed on this flat for months. We’ve got lived collectively for 10 years however we’ve all the time labored as effectively.
‘So it was attention-grabbing to be taught the dynamics of the 2 of us being at house however not doing a lot.’

Aljaž beforehand mentioned that spending time aside was a ‘small sacrifice’ to make for Strictly.
