Piers Morgan gloats over The Talk’s miserable ratings
He also disputed her claims a member of the Royal Family ‘expressed concern’ about Meghan and Prince Harry’s son Archie’s skin colour.
His pal Sharon defended the 56-year-old, before her comment sparked a wider discussion about racism with her co-star Sheryl Underwood.
The former X Factor judge asked Sheryl to ‘educate’ her on ‘when you have heard him [Piers] say racist things’, while her co-star calmly responded: ‘It is not the exact words of racism, it’s the implication and the reaction to it.’
The conversation soon turned into a blazing row on screen, before The Talk was subsequently taken off air for three weeks and Sharon departed.

However, since returning to CBS, viewing figures have collapsed.
In March, The Talk’s ratings were down 27% for its year-on-year viewership, sinking from 2.057million to 1.505million.
Responding to ratings disaster, Piers tweeted: ‘Go woke… go broke.’
Before quitting The Talk, Sharon issued a grovelling apology which Piers claimed she was ‘bullied’ into.
Sharing her apology on Twitter, Piers stated: ‘Sharon’s been shamed & bullied into apologising for defending me against colleagues accusing me of racism because I don’t believe Meghan Markle’s bulls**t.
‘This is where we’ve reached. I demand an apology from those @TheTalkCBS bullies for their disgraceful slurs against ME.’
The Talk airs on CBS in the US.
