Amanda said that there was “a lot going on”, between taking care of Ravenseat Farm, co-parenting her nine children and other work commitments.
During The Jeremey Vine Show, the Yorkshire Shepherdess said that “everything carries on, because it has to.”
The Channel 5 star spoke about her new book and her split from husband Clive.
When Amanda was asked if she ever got exhausted, she replied: “Of course, I mean I am in a permanent state of tiredness, that’s how it is, but there is a lot going on. I mean this morning I’m dealing with a child with chicken pox, Clem’s got chicken pox.”
“Everything carries on because it has to, you can’t sort of have that amount of work on a farm and with the children and meet on a weekend at McDonald’s for the handover.”
The Ravenseat farm owner spoke about her marriage ending, saying that going public with the news has been “a release of pressure”.
She continued: “And at the end of the day everything that we’ve ever put out there on the television or in the books has been about reality, and you know what, this is as much reality as anything.”
Amanda and her family first rose to fame when they appeared on the popular TV programme, Our Yorkshire Farm, which quickly became Channel 5’s most watched series.
This comes after Amanda sparked some worry among her 203,400 followers In September this year, when she uploaded a photo and fans noticed she looked slightly disheveled.
In the short clip, the Our Yorkshire Farm presenter said: “We’re bringing the lambs in for spurning, that means weaning time.”
Fans were quick to comment on Amanda’s appearance, with some saying she looked “extremely tired” and “exhausted”.
Amanda and husband Clive announced in June this year that they had broken up after more than two decades of marriage. While no longer a couple, they continue to work together on the farm in Swaledale.
