Warning: Article contains spoilers
Netflix drama Lupin, a retelling of the French classic novel, has had viewers hooked from the beginning right until its gripping finale, which ended on a cliffhanger for hero Assane (Omar Sy).
Season one ended with Assane’s teenage son Raoul being kidnapped by Hubert Pellegrini’s (Hervé Pierre) henchmen – on his birthday no less.
As he celebrates his special day at the beach with Assane and Claire (Ludivine Sagnier) viewers saw him abducted by Leonard (Adama Niane) with the pair desperately trying to find him.
No doubt fans will want to see what Assane does next and the lengths he will go to rescue Raoul, if there’s a second season in store.
Plus there’s the small matter of Hubert knowing he is being hunted by Assane, which definitely ups the stakes.
So what do we know about the future of Lupin?
What is Lupin about?
The series follows Assane as he sets out to get revenge against a wealthy family on behalf of his dad by transforming into gentleman thief and master of disguise Arsène Lupin.
Will there be a season two of Lupin?
Frustratingly, Netflix hasn’t revealed whether Lupin will be picked up for a second season.
However there are too many loose ends to be tied up so surely they won’t want to leave it there, but given how programmes like The Society and The OA were pulled with so much left to explore, we’re nervous.
Etan Simon plays Raoul (Picture: Netflix)
