Not to alarm anyone, but the first Love Island 2022 teasers are here.
The much-loved dating show will return to our screens this summer, as more singletons hope to find love in the villa.
It feels like way too long since we had our last Love Island fix, after the 2021 series saw Millie Court and Liam Reardon take him the £50,000 prize – and the pair are still loved up almost one year later.
Thankfully, it won’t be long until we’re all talking about nothing but Love Island, all day, every day, as the first teaser clips suggest a release date is on the horizon.
Due to air in Saturday’s episode of Britain’s Got Talent, the short but exciting animations offer a taster of the fun and flirting coming our way and imply series 8 is going to be bigger and better than ever, so keep your eyes peeled this weekend.
The hit ITV2 dating show is determined to ‘own’ love and show all other dating shows who is boss this series, with the messaging in the first promos encouraging other ‘pretenders’ to ‘stand down’ as the iconic shown takes over all our lives again.

One teaser video shows shows two animated figures kissing over a selection of pool floats which spell out ‘The OGs of love,’ while the second promo shows a foot smashing a TV with ‘Naked celebs go dating on a beach,’ before a flag reading ‘Love, we own it’ appears.
This seems to be a dig at the likes of Naked Attraction, Celebs Go Dating and Ex on the Beach, with Love Island wanting to reign supreme in reality TV.
It’s no understatement to say Love Island well and truly is one of the biggest TV dating shows, after seven years of matchmaking, long-term romances, marriages and even babies, there’s no question that it’s changed lives, not to mention propelled ordinary people into superstardom.
While the premiere date for Love Island 2022 has not yet been announced, we can only hope it’s soon, because we can’t wait to meet the cast and stalk all their Instas.

The first Love Island teasers for this year come as bosses of the show decided to revamp the villa and give it a makeover with a new workout area.
By adding a gym to the villa and allowing contestants space to pump some iron, producers are hoping it will lead to ‘more hook-ups.’
‘Viewers love all the scenes of rippling muscles and sexy squats,’ an insider said.
They added to The Sun: ‘Now producers hope that extra space for couples to work out will lead to more hook-ups as the testosterone flows.’
This year’s Love Island stars won’t just be getting a brand new gym though, as the upcoming series will also be rehoused in a new villa entirely.

Previous seasons were filmed at a Majorcan property near Sant Llorenc des Cardassar, in the east of the Spanish island, however, it is no longer available.
Kevin Lygo, ITV’s managing director of media and entertainment, addressed the matter during a briefing following the publication of ITV’s annual profits.
‘We didn’t own it, we rented it, and we are choosing a new house for this summer so that is all secrecy,’ he said. ‘It is going to be marvellous.
But, the show will remain in its long-standing home in the Balearic Islands, with Kevin promising a ‘great series’ in Majorca.
Laura Whitmore will also be returning to hosting duties once again, after taking over as presenter from Caroline Flack.
Love Island returns this summer on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
