Kourtney Kardashian has opened up about her IVF struggles to have a child with boyfriend Travis Barker.
The reality star is mom to children Mason, Penelope and Reign, who she shares with ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, and spoke of plans to add to her brood with the Blink-182 rocker in the trailer for the Kardashians.
The 43-year-old could be seen discussing her update in the upcoming episode – which drops on Hulu and Disney+ tomorrow morning – explaining that the IVF treatments had ‘put her into menopause’ and given her ‘depression’.
‘Travis and I want to have a baby, and so my doctor took us down this road of doing IVF,’ she told the camera in a VT.
‘It hasn’t been the most amazing experience…
‘I think because I’m so clean and careful about what I put into my body, it’s just having the complete opposite reaction, and is working as a contraceptive instead of helping us.’

During a catch up, mom Kris Jenner asked: ‘How are your doctors going?’
‘Awful,’ she replied, discussing the impact the treatment had on her body. ‘The medication they’re giving me, they put me into menopause. … Literally into menopause.’
‘Based off of what, a drug?’ the matriarch questioned, to which she simply replied: ‘Yes.
‘The medication basically put me into depression.’

Menopause is the transitional stage where a person’s periods stop, and is associated with a whole host of well-documented symptoms – from hot flushes to mood swings, and tends to happen around the age of 50.
When Kris said that she had ‘never’ seen her daughter ‘happier’ amid her budding romance with Travis, Kourtney said: ‘I have everything in the world to be happy about, I just feel a little bit off and not like myself, super moody and hormonal… I’m a lunatic half the time.
‘I think we want it so badly because we want to make something together.’
Kris ended their conversation by predicing that they would have a baby within the next year, before adding to the camera: ‘Even though Kourtney has three beautiful children, it doesn’t make it hurt any less if you’re trying to have a baby and you’ve been struggling.’
Kourtney and Travis went public with their relationship at the beginning of last year, and have been PDA-tastic on social media ever since.
They took things to the next level in October, when the All The Small Things musician got down on one knee, in front of the reality star’s famous family.
However, the lovebirds threw us all for a loop when they had a surprise ceremony at a Las Vegas chapel earlier this month, ordained by an Elvis impersonator, which turned out to be a ‘practice’ run as they were unable to obtain a marriage license at that time.
‘It actually would have been real if they would have given us a license at 2am,’ she told Associated Press of their low-key ceremony.
‘We asked multiple times, are you sure there’s nothing we can do? So yeah, we just did it anyways.’
‘It was really, really fun / I don’t remember. It was like the best night of my life that I don’t remember.’
The Kardashians is available to stream on Hulu and Disney + now.
