Richard Bacon is incorrectly named as the comedian who was caught in a tax evasion scandal in tonight’s episode of Jimmy Carr’s I Literally Just Told You despite the contestant being sat right next to Jimmy Carr…
Good Morning Britain guest presenter Richard was in stitches over the error in a preview clip with the player utterly clueless at her mistake.
‘We told you a gameshow presenter and comedian was caught in a tax evasion scandal in 2012. What is his name?’ Jimmy asked.
‘It’s that guy’, the contestant said as she incorrectly pointed at Richard.
Of course, Jimmy was the in fact the comedian in question, after being accused of being part of a tax avoidance scheme in 2012 which he then pulled out of and apologised for a ‘terrible error of judgment.’
‘What’s his name? I need his name,’ Jimmy replied as he tried to maintain composure.

‘Bacon, Richard Bacon,’ the contestant answered.
This time Jimmy fell about laughing with Richard and the audience joining him. Even the cameraman bowed his head in hysterics.
‘Wait, sorry, what?’ the player asked, confused as to what all the laughter was about. ‘Sorry, was that not his name? Oh my God, Richard Bacon? Did I get it wrong?’

Discussing the moment on today’s Good Morning Britain, Andi Peters branded the show a ‘very funny programme’.
‘The answer is Jimmy Carr,’ Richard reminded viewers. ‘I have been caught in a scandal but not that one’, he added, referring to the time he was fired from Blue Peter after admitting to taking cocaine.
Jimmy Carr’s I Literally Just Told You is a game show where paying attention pays off, as players answer questions that have just been written, about things that have just happened during the programme, in a bid to win £25,000.
Tonight’s episode is the dramatic finale, with the two remaining contestants set to go head-to-head.
Jimmy Carr’s I Literally Just Told You airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
