The Poetic Justice star, 55, will debut her Sky Documentaries film, titled Janet, exploring her childhood, rise to fame, marriages, and all the controversies she has endured over the years.
Viewers will also see Janet’s perspective following the nipple-gate moment which involved the Suit & Tie singer ripping off her corset and bra.
When asked if she heard from Justin following the intense backlash she received, she said: ‘We talked once. And he said, “You know, I don’t know if I should come out and make a statement”, and this and that.
‘And I said, “Listen, I don’t want any drama for you. They’re aiming all of this at me”.
‘So I said, “If I were you I wouldn’t say anything”.’

Despite Justin being the one to rip off Janet’s clothing, the singer was singled out in the aftermath and forced to apologise while also being fined and blacklisted by MTV and US radio at the time.
Although Janet explained that Justin left her ‘hanging’ on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2006, in her latest docu-series she emphasised that the two artists are still ‘good’ friends.
‘Honestly, this whole thing was blown way out of proportion,’ she said during the feature-length.
‘And, of course, it was an accident that should not have happened, but everyone is looking for someone to blame and that’s got to stop.
‘Justin and I are very good friends, and we will always be very good friends,’ she added.
Viewers could potentially witness another surprise as the SexyBack performer might reunite with Janet to further detail the events that occurred following the controversial moment.
An insider told Page Six: ‘Justin is in it. I was told he is going to be in the documentary. It’s like this big secret. He’s the surprise.’
Janet will be available to stream on NOW from January 31.
