RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under’s Anita Wigl’it had the world gagged with her outrageous jokes about the royal family as she became Queen Elizabeth II for Snatch Game – but one was so shocking she decided not to use it.
The newly-eliminated contestant certainly didn’t hold back during the episode two challenge and dropped a funny about Prince Andrew ‘texting 16-year-olds’, as well as joking her advice to Meghan Markle would be ‘don’t piss me off and wear a seatbelt’, referencing the death of Princess Diana in 1997.
However, it turns out Anita did refrain from using another Princess Diana joke that even she deemed went too far.
‘There was one joke that was even more outrageous which I didn’t use because it was too much,’ Anita exclusively told Metro.co.uk, making it clear that she didn’t actually coin it herself.
‘It was awful, I couldn’t bring myself to use that one because I love Princess Diana.’
Recalling the one-liner, she said: ‘Once there was a drag performer in New Zealand and their name was Diana Carcrash.’ Yep, we warned you it was pretty out there.

Anita added that another joke didn’t actually make the final edit.
‘There was one I was talking about knighting people and I told RuPaul that I’ll give him a knighthood if he gives me his manhood,’ she said. ‘Something about a sword either side of his face or something…’
Despite having the globe gasping at her Lizzy impersonations, Anita is a big fan of Her Majesty.
‘I genuinely love the Royal Family, especially the Queen, she’s so sweet,’ she told us.
‘I thought I should tone it down but I just went rogue. I thought gosh, but then I thought she’s probably not going to hear that this even happened so…’
RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under airs Sundays on BBC iPlayer.
