During tonight’s launch show of the ITV series, Lady Leshurr performed an uptempo routine with her skating partner Brendyn Hatfield to Little Mix’s hit song Salute.
The 32-year-old musician opened the routine with a rap, leaving several fans ‘obsessing’ over her epic entrance.
Despite the positive feedback she received from the judges, being placed joint top of the leaderboard with a score of 25 out of a possible 40, it was announced after a public vote that she and Brendyn will take part in next week’s skate-off.
A number of people watching the programme couldn’t believe the result.
‘Excuse me what? Lady Leshurr in the skate off? Absolute bulls**t,’ one person tweeted in response.

‘That is crazy Lady Leshurr being in the skate off on Dancing On Ice!! She was the best one,’ another remarked.
Someone else said that despite it only being the first week of the competition, they were ‘already fuming’ over Lady Leshurr’s placement in the skate-off.
Meanwhile actor Linda Lusardi, who appeared on the series in 2008, expressed her support for the competitor, tweeting: ‘Can’t believe @LadyLeshurr is in the skate off next week. She was the best on the ice tonight on @dancingonice.
‘I’m sure she will get through next week. Good luck lovely lady.’
Comedian and actor Rufus Hound, who received the second lowest score of the night, was awarded the coveted Golden Ticket from the judges.
This means that he has an automatic place in Musicals Week and was exempt from tonight’s public vote.
This evening also saw Denise Van Outen make her first appearance on the show amid fears she wouldn’t be able to take part due to an injury she sustained during training.
On Saturday, it emerged that the actor had been rushed to A&E after suffering ‘partial dislocation and tendon damage’ to her left shoulder.
Dancing on Ice returns next Sunday at 6pm on ITV.
