Mrs Brown’s Boys is reportedly being sued by former star Damien McKiernan for ‘unfair dismissal’ following his axe from the present.
McKiernan, 54, who starred as Rory Brown on the BBC collection from 2017, noticed his character written out of the programme in October 2020 and Rory didn’t function on this 12 months’s Christmas special that aired on Christmas Day.
It’s claimed McKiernan had complained to the BBC after his exit from Mrs Brown’s Boys and has now determined to take authorized motion in opposition to the present, as he feels he wasn’t handled pretty.
That is the second lawsuit Mrs Brown’s Boys is dealing with, as castmember Gary Hollywood, who performed Rory’s husband Dino Doyle, is suing the collection over a pay dispute.
An insider advised Daily Star: ‘[McKiernan] has determined to take authorized motion. He doesn’t really feel like he has been pretty handled and needs justice.’
‘Damien is devastated. The choice to drop him from the present got here out of the blue,’ they added.

‘I really feel I wasn’t being paid equally and I wasn’t being given a proof for selections,’ he advised Day by day Star Sunday.
‘Once I tried to resolve it, nothing was completed. I used to be simply disregarded. However I received’t put up with it any extra. I received’t be handled like that. This has gone too far. They shouldn’t do that to folks.’
Hollywood added: ‘I’m taking authorized motion. The papers have been lodged for a tribunal and the method has now began.’
