CORRIE’S Abi Franklin star has teased what viewers can expect will happen between her character and evil Ray Crosby as he tries to demolish the Street.
Actress Sally Carman, who has played the former drug addict on the ITV soap for the past three years, has spoken out about how her alter-ego is currently feeling about the heartbreaking property development.

As viewers know, conman Ray has been medaling with Debbie Webster to transform the Cobbles into a property development – which has left many of them out of pocket and homeless.
On Monday the planning permission got approved by the council, but residents are extremely unhappy with the outcome, especially Abi.
She spoke to Roy and he advised that they most organise a forum to appeal the outcome, but Abi decided to round up the residents and protest against it by driving up and down the Street shouting in megaphones.
And it looks like the mechanic won’t stop there to get justice as Sally recently explained: “Abi never does anything by halves and she feels that direct action is the way forward.

“She feels as though everyone is too prepared to roll over and give in. She enjoyed the demonstration back in December, so for her that is the way to cause Ray the most problems and she gets everyone onto a float and she is giving Ray grief on the loud hailer.”
She added: “She is sure he has been bribing people but she is determined to get to the bottom of it.
“She knows she is causing herself problems but she is frustrated that the residents seem to be all too ready to throw in the towel.”
Abi could take things to an extreme though as it was revealed earlier this week that Debbie is set to go against her partner in crime to save Abi’s life.

The former drug addict, who went out Ray last year, will get even more wound up with the crook in weeks to come – which will leave her in a spot of trouble.
Abi is currently going out with Debbie’s brother Kevin and when the businesswoman realises that she’s in danger, she decides to step in.
Watch Coronation Street tomorrow at 7.30pm on ITV.
