The upcoming Netflix documentary starring The Bachelor’s Colton Underwood has been hit with a backlash, after more than 28,000 people signed a petition calling for it to be axed.
Many congratulated the 29-year-old reality star for speaking bravely about his sexuality recently.
Others, though, pointed out that Colton was accused of stalking and harassing his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Randolph, who he met on The Bachelor.
Following their breakup, Cassie went on to file a restraining order against Colton, accusing him of stalking and harassing her by putting a tracking device on her car.
Colton later released a statement explaining that the former couple had resolved their issues in private and Cassie later dismissed the restraining order, requesting the police investigation be dropped.

Now, thousands have signed the petition and called for the series to be boycotted.
A message posted on the petition’s change.org page reads: ‘Today it was announced that Colton Underwood would be the focus of a Netflix documentary about being an out gay man.
‘On Good Morning America, he came out as gay, and held an interview regarding his sexuality. Colton is a former bachelor lead who stalked his final pick, Cassie Randolph.’

It added: ‘Cassie is a victim of Colton’s abuse, and he does not deserve a platform in any way. Regardless of his sexuality, Colton should not be given a platform as a result of his abusive, manipulative, and dangerous behavior.’
It comes after Colton came out during an interview on Good Morning America.
In a segment titled, Colton Underwood: In His Own Words, the former NFL player spoke candidly to veteran anchor Robin Roberts about his sexuality.
Colton said: ‘Obviously this year has been a lot for a lot of people. It’s probably made a lot of people look themselves in the mirror and see who they are and what they are running from and what they’ve been putting off in their lives.’
The reality star, 29, added: ‘For me, I’ve ran from myself for a long time. I’ve hated myself for a long time. I’m gay.
‘I came to terms with that earlier this year and have been processing it. The next step in all of this was letting people know.’
