Great British Bake Off host Matt Lucas has revealed that he misplaced his hair at simply six years of age.
The comic and presenter spoke about his insecurities throughout Saturday’s episode of The Jonathan Ross present, saying that he developed comedy characters to cope with them.
‘I began out truly at all times in character as a result of I feel rising up, I misplaced my hair once I was six,’ he mentioned on the programme.
‘I used to be ashamed of being homosexual, struggled with weight. Different difficult issues occurred within the household. I wished to be a rise up comic.’
He went on to say: ‘I felt I could possibly be extra trustworthy in character than I could possibly be as myself. Truly, even simply doing Bake Off as myself for me there’s a vulnerability there I suppose to some extent.’
The comic appeared on the present alongside Liam Gallagher, Grayson Perry, Jon Richardson, Lucy Beaumont and Woman Leshurr.

Talking to Oasis singer Liam, Matt additionally revealed how he was solid within the video for Blur’s Nation Home by mistake.
‘I feel it was a case of mistaken id. Damien Hirst and Keith Allen who have been the administrators of the Nation Home video requested Vic and Bob, ‘Who’s that bald man you’re employed with?’ They have been considering of Les from the Large Evening Out. However, then they instructed me. So I feel I used to be solid by mistake in that video.’

Matt and his Nice British Bake Off co-presenter Noel Fielding introduced the newest winner of the competitors on Tuesday, with Peter Sawkins becoming the youngest ever champion on Tuesday.
