The duo teamed up to showcase the gorgeous history and filming locations of the land where their hit historical drama series is set and the release date has finally been confirmed.
As the trailers have shown, the stars – who play Jamie Fraser and Dougal Mackenzie – head off on the ultimate buddy road trip and luckily for us, the cameras caught all the fun in the form of a travelogue.
Here’s everything you need to know as we wait for the show to finally premiere in February.

The official synopsis for the show reads: ‘Men in Kilts is a fun-filled buddy travelogue through Scotland led by Outlander stars Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish.
‘The two will reunite for an epic adventure, exploring their heritage and meeting an incredible collection of people who truly showcase what it means to be Scottish.’
It continues: ‘The half-hour, eight-episode series offers the duo’s one-of-a-kind perspective on everything from Scottish clans and the Battle of Culloden to whisky tasting and folk dancing, with Sam and Graham’s witty banter and hijinks leading the way.
‘Whether hanging off the edge of a cliff, wrangling a flock of wild sheep or discovering the true legacy of their Outlander characters, both men dive head first into each and every experience.’

What more could you ask for?
Viewers will get to discover Scotland’s rich, complex heritage as the actors meet local artisans and experts.
Landmarks from the show such as Inverness and the Culloden battlefield will be focused on during the show.
Oh, and they’ll also visit notable sites like Glencoe – the site of a great massacre and major clan feud.

When was Men In Kilts filmed?
Men In Kilts was filmed in 2019 and was originally expected to air in 2020.
Sam first had an idea for the series to be a podcast titled Clan Lands. He told OprahMag.com in 2019: ‘I wanted to do a podcast in my spare time, and I thought I’d shoot some visuals for it.
‘The more I was getting into producing it, it’s the first thing I’d produced, and I really enjoyed it. So I decided to make it into a TV show! We’ve finished shooting and dare I say, I think it looks really fun.’
He continued: ‘I’ve always been interested in Scotland’s history, the clans, and the culture. We have such huge tourism from Outlander. We just wanted to sort of go on that adventure as well, and bring some of that to people, because it’s part of the show that we don’t get to explore anymore as the show has moved on.’
Is there a trailer?
Yes, there is. Fans have been patiently waiting for the show ever since the first trailer dropped in July 2020.
