Shaggy is already within the Christmas spirit as he confirmed the upcoming launch of his Christmas-themed reggae album.
Titled Chistmas within the Island, the It Wasn’t Me singer will carry us the joyful noises of sleigh bells with a Caribbean twist.
The vacation songs may also function visitor performances from Beenie Man, Joss Stone, Bounty Killer, Junior Reid, Ne-Yo, Romain Virgo, Ritchie Stephens, Conkarah and others.
Shaggy defined of the festive album: ‘Since I used to be a baby, I can keep in mind seeing vacationers flock to Jamaica throughout Christmas time for some solar, enjoyable, rum, and nice events!
‘Our island is all about household, buddies, meals, nice seashores, heat, welcoming folks, and a powerful tradition, which is the right recipe for a joyous Christmas, so we determined to embody all of that into one album.’
He continued: ‘We enlisted a few of Jamaica’s main, iconic artists to take part, and with friends like Ne-Yo and Joss Stone, who frequent Jamaica in the course of the vacation season, we hope to move listeners and share how we have fun Christmas within the Islands!’
With iconic songs like Boombastic and It Wasn’t Me, a really reggae Christmas album goes to have hit after hit.
‘When Prince Harry got here to Jamaica he came around the Bustamante Hospital for Youngsters,’ Shaggy defined in an interview with The Guardian.
‘My daughter thought he was speculated to be a prince on a horse, like in her storybook. He turned to me and stated, “Wow, she’s simply so not impressed,” after which he sang, It Wasn’t Me.
‘So Prince Harry is a Shaggy fan!’
The Angel singer – who reached his profession peak with the multi-million-selling album Scorching Shot within the 12 months 2000 – additionally mentioned assembly The Queen in 2018.
‘I’d wish to assume that the Queen is an enormous Shaggy fan,’ he stated. ‘I performed at her 92nd birthday celebration on the Royal Albert Corridor.’
