Rita Ora is starting a new chapter on social media after taking the bold move of deleting her entire Instagram feed.
The Anywhere singer no doubt surprised her 16 million followers on Thursday when her feed was wiped clean, deleting all her pictures and videos.
Fans began speculating that either Rita, 30, was simply bored in quarantine down under in Australia or, she has new music on the way.
Fortunately it was the latter as not long after, the pop star uploaded one new photo to her feed promoting her new music.
It turns out Rita has a whole new EP coming on February 12 titled Bang and boasting a star-studded line-up of features, including David Guetta, rapper Gunna and Grammy-nominated DJ Imanbek.
‘Feb 12the #BANG ? The EP – Pre-order link in bio @imanbekmusic @davidguetta @gunna @khea.yf,’ Rita camptioned the post, also promoting the record in her Instagram stories.
The EP’s cover sees Rita sporting bright red hair with photos of her collaborators.
Explaining how the project came together, Rita said in a press release: ‘When we started this project, we were really looking to develop creative connections with other artists.
‘Collaborating with Imanbek was a really unique experience, we had meetings through Zoom to discuss the music and we had to use translators as well as, so we really had to adapt to a new way of recording.’
Imanbek added: ‘It was really fun to work with on the project in such a creative way. The project brought us together not only creatively but personally and that was a great experience.’
It’ll be Rita’s first piece of music since the release of her track, How To Be Lonely, written by Lewis Capaldi last year.
In recent months, the singer has been busy working on her music and shooting music videos in Europe so fans should expect more surprises in the coming weeks.
At the moment, Rita is currently self-isolating in Australia after flying over to film The Voice.
It’s been a challenging start to the year for the Your Song hitmaker, who has been heavily criticised for hosting a dinner party for her 30th birthday going against lockdown rules in December.
