Madonna has a bone to pick with Tory Lanez after accusing the singer of sampling her hit song, Into The Groove, without permission.
Tory, 29, released his latest single Pluto’s Last Comet earlier this month alongside his heavily 80’s-inspired album Alone At Prom.
However, it was while the singer was promoting the track on Instagram that it caught the attention of Madonna, who believes Pluto’s Last Comet bears striking similarities to her 1985 single Into The Groove.
Tory recently shared an Instagram post featuring behind-the-scenes photos from the visuals of his song.
Madonna, 63, later commented: ‘Read your messages tor illegal usage of my song get into the groove!’
Tory has not publicly responded to the queen of pop’s claims but many seemed to agree that the two songs sound similar.

One fan commented: ‘Ah she’s winning this lawsuit.’
Another weighed in: ‘Not Tory Lanez sampling one of the most recognizable pop songs of all time without clearing it. Madonna is actually being very nice about it.’
One other fan claimed: ‘Madonna’s sample is credited, however it would be way more appropriate for Tory to ask for permission before releasing the song.’

It appears Madonna’s Into The Groove is not credited on streaming services such as Spotify, but it does appear in the sampling credits on online music lyric bible Genius.
Madonna 80’s hit was released 36 years ago and featured in her acting debut Desperately Seeking Susan.
The song was recently included on Rolling Stone’s list of 500 best songs of all time at number 161.
For his new album Alone At Prom, Tory has created a new character called Ashton Rain who sports an 80’s-appropriate jheri curl hairstyle and appears in the Pluto’s Last Comet music video.
Tory recently said of his alter-ego: ‘Ashton Rain is a mixture of Hall & Oates, Toto, Michael Jackson, Rick James and more.
‘The music was so retro and nostalgic that the character had to be created and authenticated through film, picture and music video.
‘Ashton Rain is today’s last hope of getting a full catalog now and later of pure pop, R&B, alternative and 80’s rock music and I’m excited for everyone to hear what I’ve poured my passion into with the Alone At Prom album.’
