Her manager confirmed to Metro.co.uk that Jesy has signed a deal Stateside with Republic Records, who work with pop stars Ariana and Taylor Swift.
The former Little Mix singer is poised to launch her solo career, with her first release rumoured to be as soon as next month after she was apparently seen busy rehearsing with dancers for her first music video.
Since then, she’s wiped her Instagram, and in the biggest hint yet that a new era is incoming, the star shared a video clip on her otherwise blank account, showing clips of behind-the-scenes work and captioned: ‘The next chapter…’
In the video, Jesy can be heard saying: ‘This is the new chapter for me. I don’t think anyone is going to expect this.’
A music insider told The Sun: ‘Jesy never really managed to make it big in the States with Little Mix, but thanks to the deal with Republic, she’s got the best team around her.

‘There is a real buzz when it comes to her solo career and this single could be the thing to take her career to the next level.’
Jesy signed a lucrative deal with Polydor Records in the UK back in May, but is now working with a strong team Stateside to support her bid for stardom there.
It has also been speculated that Nicki Minaj will feature on Jesy’s new track, which is expected to sample Diddy, Black Rob and Mark Curry’s 2001 song Bad Boy For Life.
Nicki previously collaborated with Little Mix on their 2018 hit Woman Like Me.
Jesy announced that she was quitting Little Mix after nine years in December 2020 after saying that being part of the group, which also features Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall, had ‘really taken a toll’ on her mental health.

In her exit statement she wrote: ‘I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.
‘There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focussing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin that process.’
Having said she needed ‘to spend some time with the people I love, doing things that make me happy’, the 30-year-old has had a busy eight months working on her own music.
