Jack Harlow and Maneskin have pulled out of Reading and Leeds to play the MTV VMAs, the music festival has said in a statement.
The musicians were confirmed to play at the annual festivals, set for August 26 to 28, but have now been added to the line-up for the awards show in New York City on August 28.
Reading and Leeds organisers issued a statement on the cancellation, saying: ‘We are saddened to hear that Jack Harlow and Maneskin have decided to perform at an award show the same weekend that they were confirmed to playing Reading & Leeds.
‘We are working on some exciting replacements to join Arctic Monkeys, Dave, Bring Me The Horizon, The 1975, Halsey, Megan Thee Stallion, D-Block Europe, PinkPantheress, Joy Crookes, Fontaines DC, Bastille, Willow, Wolf Alice, Glass Animals, Hybrid Minds and many others at Reading & Leeds Festivals this August bank holiday weekend, watch this space!’
Maneskin announced last week that they would not be performing at Reading and Leeds ‘due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts’.
‘We love and miss the UK and all of our beloved UK fans and we’re absolutely gutted to no longer be able to play these shows,’ they added.

‘We’re really excited for the year to come and want to thank you for your support and patience, we’ll hopefully be back in the UK soon and we can’t wait to see you at the O2 Arena in London next year. We love you!’
Jack and Maneskin will join stars including Lizzo and Blackpink as they perform at the VMAs this year.
The rapper has been nominated for seven awards at the show, while Maneskin has been nominated for one, best new artist.
Reading and Leeds recently faced another cancellation, after Rage Against The Machine were forced to pull out over a leg injury frontman Zack De La Rocha sustained.

The band had to cancel their UK and European tour on doctor’s orders.
The band confirmed the cancellations on their official Twitter account, telling fans: ‘Per medical guidance, Zack De La Rocha has been advised that the August and September 2022 UK and European leg of the Rage Against The Machine tour cannot proceed.
‘It is with great disappointment that we announce this cancellation.’

They added: ‘Rage Against The Machine will be finishing their run at Madison Square Garden on August 11, 12 & 14 and then Zack must return home for rest and rehabilitation.
‘The flights, travel time and rigorous schedule in the UK and Europe are simply too much of a risk for a complete recovery.
‘We are so sorry to all of our fans who have waited years to see us and hope to Rage again soon. Please contact your point of purchase for refunds to any headline shows. Brad, Tim, Tom & Zack.’
Zack had injured his leg in the middle of the band’s Chicago show while performing Bullet In The Head.
The 1975 will replace them at Reading and Leeds.
