10-year-old drumming sensation Nandi Bushell has shared a brand new unique tune – hearken to ‘Gods and Unicorns’ beneath.
The monitor follows a series of back-and-forth drum battles between Bushell and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl throughout lockdown.
“My coronary heart is filled with delight! I’m so excited so that you can hear my new tune I wrote with Zuzu,” Bushell wrote of the tune. “On the tune I play ALL the devices [guitar, bass, drums, keyboard] myself. I wrote and recorded the tune at house.”
The monitor’s co-writer, Liverpool-based songwriter and NME 100 alumni Zuzu, added: “GO NANDI!!! Go try the bop we wrote collectively! She performed EVERY SINGLE INSTRUMENT.”

Final month, Grohl admitted defeat in his long-running battle with Bushell whereas talking on The Late Present With Stephen Colbert. “That child is a pressure of nature”, he mentioned, and likened the scenario to squaring off with a college bully: “I’d be like, oh my God, I’m gonna get my ass kicked once more”.
Whereas meeting for the first time in a video interview organised by The New York Times, Grohl and Bushell agreed to write down a brand new unique tune collectively.
“We should always make a tune collectively. Do you need to do this?” Grohl requested, to which Bushell responded: “Sure! Yeah, positively.”
“Nicely, I’m not taking part in drums, I’ll let you know that,” Grohl joked in response.
The kid rocker was seen by Grohl after her tackle Nirvana‘s ‘In Bloom’ went viral earlier this yr. Grohl then responded to a challenge posed by Bushell in August through which the aspiring rocker challenged the 51-year-old to a drum-off by way of a video she posted of a canopy of Foo Fighters’ hit tune ‘Everlong’.
Grohl then composed Bushell her own superhero theme, which Bushell then duly responded to, penning Rock and Grohl – The EPIC Battle’.
