Oasis followers have recalled the time when Diego Maradona threatened to shoot Liam and Noel Gallagher once they met him in a bar in Argentina.

The colorful story has resurfaced in the wake of Maradona’s death yesterday (25 November) on the age of 60. The Argentine footballing legend handed away after struggling a coronary heart assault at his house in Buenos Aires.

In a 2018 interview with VICE, Liam recalled how he and Noel have been enjoyable in an Argentinian bar when a big entourage entered.

“We have been going ‘Who the fucking hell’s that?’ We discovered it was Maradona,” Liam recalled.

“He’d gone upstairs with a load of fucking madheads and all these ladies of the night time. We have been going like, can we go up and meet him? Like that, to the interpreter. And the interpreter stated ‘Alright cool, let me go and sq. it with them’.”

The interpreter then approached the Gallaghers and took them to fulfill Maradona in an upstairs room.

“We steamed up there and we bought in there and there’s a great deal of… exercise occurring. Maradona’s in the course of the room doing fucking soccer methods with a bottle high. He’s sweating his bollocks off,” Liam defined.

He added: “His eyes have been fucking like that. Ours weren’t far off.”

“I used to be going, ‘It’s a bit moody in right here, let’s get a fast image with him and we’ll f**okay off.’”

After noticing a fast dialogue between Maradona and the interpreter, the Gallaghers then requested what had been stated.

The interpreter seemingly replied: “He advised me to let you know, if yous depart with any of those bitches, he’ll have you ever shot.”
