Andrew Watt has spoken about his relationship with Ozzy Osbourne, saying that the steel icon is “like a member of the family now”.
Talking in a brand new interview, the Grammy award-winning LA songwriter/producer mentioned his working relationship with the Prince of Darkness since collaborating with him on his latest album ‘Abnormal Man’.
“With Ozzy, I’m such a fan of his. I’ve seen each interview and listened to each album of his… there’s nothing about him that I don’t know,” Watt instructed Guitar.com. “I approached his music fully completely different as a fan of his and requested what would his followers take pleasure in doing? There’s no a technique.
“It was a real dream. Whenever you look again on a profession in music and being blessed sufficient to be a musician, it’s these sorts of moments that may actually stick. I’ve spent a lot time with somebody I idolise. Ozzy’s like a member of the family now.”

He continued: “We discuss each single day and we’re engaged on a second file. His entire household is probably the most giving household. Ozzy was very sick once we began the primary album recovering from his neck surgical procedure and this album gave him one other lease on life.
“It was the primary time I’d ever been concerned in one thing musical that was about one thing higher than the music. It saved this man’s life. I reached my childhood dream of with the ability to make rock ‘n’ roll with the precise individual I needed to make it with.”
In the meantime, Osbourne‘s next studio album is set to feature an all-star cast of backing musicians, together with members of Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Metallica.
Andrew Watt has stated the group are “about midway via” recording the follow-up to 2020’s ‘Abnormal Man’.
The brand new band, Watt defined in a brand new interview, options Ozzy on vocals, himself on guitar, Metallica’s Robert Trujillo on bass, and Taylor Hawkins and Chad Smith sharing drumming duties.
