Jared Leto revealed that his Oscar has been missing for three years and he has no clue where it is.
The 49-year-old bagged the coveted gong in 2014 for his performance in Dallas Buyers Club but it’s evident the actor didn’t let himself get too attached to the trophy.
During his virtual appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden on Tuesday, he was asked about the fact his Oscar has gone missing.
Jared explained: ‘You know, I found out that it’s been missing for, like three years, and I didn’t know that.
‘I don’t think anyone wanted to tell me. But I had moved houses in L.A. and then when we moved, it somehow just magically kind of disappeared.’
The gong could be somewhere in his new home but the 30 Seconds to Mars explained people had been searching ‘high and low’ for it and still are yet to find it.

Jared continued: ‘I hope it’s in good hands wherever it is, but, you know, we haven’t seen it for quite some time.’
Host James couldn’t believe what he was hearing as he responded: ‘Hang on, you really think somebody else has got it?’

‘I think it’s a possibility. It’s not the sort of thing someone accidentally throws in the trash. I hope someone is caring for it,’ Jared replied.
It turns out Jared was happy to give his Academy Award away on the night he won as he recalled: ‘I remember the night I got it. I passed it around to so many people.
‘I didn’t see it half the night, but things beat up scratched up but people had fun taking pictures with it, and it’s nice to share it. So hopefully someone’s taking good care of.’
We just hope Jared and his Oscar find their way back to each other.
