Hollywood legend Jane Fonda will receive the Cecil B. DeMille award at the 2021 Golden Globe awards.
The iconic actress, 83, will be the latest recipient of the honor as the Hollywood Foreign Press Association celebrates her impact on the industry.
HFPA President Ali Sar said in a statement: ‘The Hollywood Foreign Press Association takes great pride in bestowing the 2021 Cecil B. de Mille Award to Jane Fonda.
‘For more than five decades, Jane’s breadth of work has been anchored in her unrelenting activism, using her platform to address some of the most important social issues of our time.’
He continued: ‘Her undeniable talent has gained her the highest level of recognition, and while her professional life has taken many turns, her unwavering commitment to evoking change has remained.
‘We are honored to celebrate her achievements at the 2021 Golden Globe Awards.’

The Cecil B. de Mille Award – named after one of the most successful filmmakers in American history – is given annually to ‘a talented individual who has made a lasting impact on the film industry’.
Previous recipients include Tom Hanks, Oprah Winfrey, Jeff Bridges, Robert De Niro and Audrey Hepburn.

Jane is a seven-time Golden Globe winnwe and has racked up 15 nominations during her illustruous career.
The 9 to 5 actress also has two Best Actress Oscar wins, four People’s Choice Awards, and an Emmy Award under her belt, but to name a few.
The Klute star has been equally well known for her political stances — protesting the Vietnam War, campaigning for civil rights, and advocating for feminist causes.
The 2021 Golden Globe Awards will air on Sunday, February 28.
