The former US president said he’d have a ‘stronger feeling towards running’ for re-election if the Duchess of Sussex was to launch a bit to become America’s first ever female president.
Trump, 74, made the comments in an interview with Fox Business News, in which he also lashed out at Meghan for her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. He said he’s ‘not a fan’ of the 39-year-old former Suits actress and has leapt to the defense of the Royal Family.
Meghan has reportedly held talks with key members of the Democrat party, fueling speculation that she has plans to launch a political career and even run for the White House.

Speaking to Fox News, Trump said: ‘Well I hope that happens because if that happened I think I’d have an even stronger feeling toward running.
‘I’m not a fan of hers. I think that what she talks about the Royal Family and the Queen, and I happen to think, I know the Queen as you know, I met with the Queen and I think the Queen is a tremendous person and I am not a fan of Meghan.’
He also went on to say he is already thinking about running for president again in 2024.
Trump said: ‘Based on every poll, they want me to run again. But we’re going to take a look and we’ll see.’
During the same interview, Trump also told his supporters to get the Covid-19 vaccine as soon as they can and argued his successor, Joe Biden, was taking credit that he deserves for the US vaccine rollout.
Meanwhile The Mail on Sunday has reported that Meghan is preparing a bid to become president. A senior member of the Labour party reportedly told The Mail that Meghan, has ambitions of launching a career in US politics.

The Labour member has claimed Meghan was currently networking among senior Democrats.
If Meghan was to succeed Joe Biden in four years time, she would become only the second ever non-white president after Barack Obama.
In fueling speculation about a potential rivalry with Meghan, Trump has once again spoken of his disliking of her.
Back in September 2020 he hit back at Meghan for suggesting Americans should vote for Biden by saying he was ‘not a fan of hers’ and wishing ‘a lot of luck’ to her husband Prince Harry.
