Five people have been killed including a pregnant woman in a horrific shooting that’s been described as ‘mass murder’.
Two teenagers were also among those who were found dead inside a home in Indianapolis, Indiana, in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The city’s police chief, Randal Taylor, has said the tragic loss of life is the ‘largest mass casualty shooting in more than a decade’ in Indianapolis.
Police believe ‘more than one shooter’ may have been involved and have said it does ‘not appear to be a random act’.
The victims have been named as Kezzie Childs and Raymond Childs, both 42, Elijah Childs, 18, Rita Childs, 13, Kiara Hawkins, 19 and Hawkins’ unborn baby, by Marion County’s coroner.

A juvenile male was also found shot at a different address less than a block away in what police believe may be a linked incident. The boy is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police have said.
As of Sunday investigators were yet to identify any suspects and said those responsible for the killings are still on the loose, reports Fox 59.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called out to a report of a person shot at around 4am on Sunday. When they arrived police found ‘a juvenile male with apparent gunshot wounds’, according to police spokesman Shane Foley.
He added that officers then received additional reports that led them to another address less than a block away. There they found five people dead with ‘apparent gunshot wounds’.
Foley said: ‘Despite the best lifesaving efforts provided by medical staff, both the female and the unborn child did not survive he added.
‘The juvenile male that was shot is expected to survive his injuries.’
Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett, described the shootings as an ‘act of evil’ as he spoke to reporters yesterday afternoon.
He said: ‘This morning, one or more individuals perpetrated an act of evil in our city.
‘While we’re still learning more about the circumstances that led to this incident I want to be very clear about something, what happened this morning was not an act of simple gun violence. What happened this morning was a mass murder.’

He added that the FBI is being drafted in to help find the people responsible.
Hogsett added: ‘Federal law enforcement are coming for them, as I speak. Coming for them today, coming for them tonight, coming for them tomorrow and the day after that. Coming for them as long as it takes to find them.’
