THE Range is selling a fire pit and grill for under £50 – and it’s £180 cheaper than rival Aldi’s.
The Range’s three in one Outdoor Square BBQ Grill doubles up as a fire pit AND a barbecue, so you can dine al fresco and heat up your garden.

For £46, it’s a whopping £180 cheaper than Aldi’s similar looking Gardenline two in one Grill and Firepit that costs £230 – but there are a number of differences between the two.
The Range’s grill is 47cm high and 14cm wide, smaller than Aldi’s which measures 58cm by 97cm.
Aldi’s also has three wooden shelves around the side of the grill which is perfect for putting your barbecue tools on – whereas The Range’s doesn’t.
Aldi’s pit also comes with a grill plate, a steel wok with wooden handles on it, a BBQ spatula and a pair of tongs.

While The Range’s doesn’t have these features, it does come with a poker for stoking the fire and removing the mesh lid.
However, if you don’t want to splash out as much cash, we think The Range’s barbecue and grill is a great bargain.
The retailer says the grill is made out of durable steel material, so it won’t rust, and it can hold a “large volume” of logs, charcoal and firewood.
Because it’s smaller, it could be easier to store too, making it a good option for families who don’t have a lot of space.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
Here are some that we recommend:
- Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
- Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
You’ll can order The Range’s grill online, and delivery costs from £3.95.
Other shops are selling cheap barbecues that double up as fire pits too.
Amazon is selling one for £50, which could be perfect if you’re planning a camping holiday.
Argos is also flogging a similar-looking grill for £50 as well.
But before you splash out any cash, make sure to compare prices elsewhere as well.
You might find that the same – or similar – item is cheaper at another shop.
Groupon has slashed the price of garden furniture and you can pick up a set from £90.
We also found that B&M was selling a garden furniture set for only £45.
Plus if you’re having trouble finding a cheap hot tub to add to your garden upgrade this summer, Asda is selling a one for £350.
