Dream of life with a concierge?
If you’re fortunate enough to live in a home with a concierge, you’ve probably grown to appreciate this amenity more than ever during the pandemic.
According to Stewart Brown, operations director at Rendall & Rittner, one of the UK’s largest property management companies, concierge usage has increased by nearly a third since the start of the first lockdown.
Taking deliveries is just one aspect of the job, however, as Monica Iacobas, head concierge at Royal Albert Wharf in East London, explains.
‘Not only are we the first point of contact for residents, contractors, visitors and deliveries, we are also trained to provide basic first aid in an emergency,’ she says.
‘I also make sure that everyone is kept safe and the facilities are maintained according to health and safety regulations. I immediately report any defects to the relevant contractors for repair or inspection.’
You can’t put a price on peace of mind, but you don’t have to spend a fortune to find a new home with an on-site concierge.
