If you’re a first-time buyer, take advantage (Picture: Zoopla)
When it comes to these properties, it doesn’t really matter.
That’s because these particular homes will be exempt from stamp duty tax for first-time buyers, regardless of an extension.
So if you’re looking to get on the property ladder, look this way.
Zoopla has shared a roundup of five of the best stamp duty exempt homes in England, noting that all the properties have multiple bedrooms as well as a garage and a garden.
Gráinne Gilmore, head of research at Zoopla, said: ‘If you’re a first-time buyer looking to get on the property ladder in England, you are in a good position.
‘The recent rise in the number of higher loan-to-value mortgages available mean there may be more opportunities to enter the property market, and take advantage of the stamp duty savings of up to £5,000 on offer to all first-time buyers who buy a property of up to £500,000.’
