A further 678 deaths have been reported – with the total number of victims in the UK now at 115,529.
Last Thusday there were 915 new deaths were recorded with a further 20,634 cases.
A total of 13.50 million people in the UK have now received the first dose of a Covid vaccine, up 450,810 on yesterday’s figure, which includes a new daily record for Scotland of 63,178.

During the April peak, the highest Covid daily death toll recorded was 1,010.
In England, a further 494 have died of Covid-19, bringing the grim tally to 77,745.
