With the nation in a race against time to roll out the Covid vaccine, the firms have urged their employees to sign up.

Pub giant Greene King has backed The Sun’s Jabs Army campaign
Pub chain Young’s has also backed our call to recruit volunteers
Greene King boss Nick Mackenzie said it was a great opportunity for its 40,000-strong “family” to help the NHS and get the country back to normality.
Young’s chief Patrick Dardis said: “Let’s show the true bulldog British spirit and kick this pandemic out of our country in weeks rather than months.”
Greene King — the UK’s No1 pub retailer and brewer — has 2,750 UK pubs, restaurants and hotels.

It pledged to make its car parks close to vaccination centres available as part of the national effort.
Mr Mackenzie added: “We want to play our part in supporting the NHS vaccination programme and The Sun’s Jabs Army campaign is a clear way for us to do this.
“Pubs are the heartbeat of communities and while they’re sadly closed due to lockdown, many of our furloughed team members want to continue to support their communities.”
He said his pub staff have worked in Covid-secure premises so would make good Steward Volunteers.
How to sign up
VOLUNTEERS for the Jabs Army are being asked to first register online at nhsvolunteerresponders.org.uk
You will then receive an email with log-in details to sign up online.
Finally, you will be asked to download the GoodSAM app on a smartphone which will match you to a role in your area.
Services will be opening in the coming days and weeks, with different areas up and running at different times, so you might not be required on site for some weeks. Not everyone who signs up will need to be called upon.
You need to commit to only two six-hour shifts a month at a vaccination service, and no prior experience or qualifications are required.
You will work as part of a team that will include NHS staff and volunteers. The Royal Voluntary Service will conduct appropriate background checks.
Mr Dardis is urging his 4,000 staff to join the Jabs Army and has also offered his 272 pubs as vaccination centres.
He said: “There are hundreds of thousands of volunteers, plus the 30,000 retired nurses and doctors that have offered their time — and thousands of pubs and venues ready to help.
“Let’s do this together and be proud of our achievements.”
The Sun says
AS our daily Covid death toll climbs over 1,000, nothing could be more urgent now than vaccinating millions of Brits 24/7.
This is a dire national emergency. Has that truly sunk in across Whitehall?
At every turn bureaucracy slows the rollout: PHE not working Sundays.
Chemists’ offers of help ignored. The laborious batch-testing of vaccines we were told were ready to go. The “woke” qualifications medics are told they need.
Cut the red tape. It should be all hands to the pump to save lives. Boris Johnson should rouse us to a great national effort personally, Churchill-style.
At brewers Greene King and Young’s, staff are joining our 17,500-strong Jabs Army. Shepherd Neame says its dormant pubs could be jab centres.
That’s typical of the imagination shown everywhere but, it seems, Westminster.
What’s the hold-up? Every delay is deadly.
