Why did Jeremy Clarkson close Diddly Squat?
In a post on Instagram which was posted December 28, the official account announced it was open until the end of December.
They revealed to their 674,000 followers: “Diddly Squat Farm Shop open 9.30-4pm until 31st December.
“Closed January & February.”
In response to a comment from a fan, the account explained it would be closing so some work could be carried out on the roof.
They wrote: “Council insisted we change the roof. Closed for building work.”
Clarkson was reportedly told the news earlier this year, after the local council explained to him the materials used to build the roof were not allowed.
A source from the West Oxfordshire Council told MailOnline: “As the application has been refused he will have to change it.”

What did they sell in Diddly Squat farm shop?
Jeremy Clarkson’s farm shop sells a vast array of local produce.
He sells “bee juice” known as honey to the usual person, as well as gin, tea-towels, and “cow juice” – milk, in other words.
In a Clarkson twist, the shop also sell candles which proclaim to “smell like [his] b*****ks”.
The smell is described as “The unique and leathery scent of my car seat, blended with hints of oakmoss and earthy spices.
“A totally unique and bespoke scent, created for Jeremy. There is no other smell like this…. in the world.”
The farm shop’s website states: “Established in 2020, Diddly Squat Farm Shop was the brainchild of Jeremy Clarkson after realising that potatoes did indeed grow well on his farm and he had accidentally produced 40 tonnes of them.”
“From there, with his partner Lisa, he bought hives and began to produce and sell bee juice, along with apple juice and cow juice from a local dairy,” the description reads.
“We also have incredible food. Literally the best hamburgers in the world. And a full bar including cool draft beers, lagers, ciders and of course rosé.”
