SOME brand logos are a lot more obvious than others, and although the one for Domino’s Pizza might be, you probably got it all wrong.
The three dots are actually very important in the restaurant’s history.

Back in 1960, the company came up with its first logo, which has stuck through the decades as it grew into a very popular chain.
The logo consists of two rectangles: the top, which is a red domino with three dots, and the bottom, which is a blue domino with the name of the restaurant.
The top domino specifically has three dots because they symbolize the three restaurants where it all started, according to InkBotMeaning.com.
The owners planned to add a new dot each time a new restaurant opened. However, the business spread quickly and the plan fell through.

Since then, the logo has shifted to be more rounded around the corners and the colors have become more similar to that of the American flag, giving it a more modern look.
The colors are also supposed to be massively contrasting to catch people’s attention and bring them into the restaurant.
While red is energetic and evokes urgency, blue is dependent and shows off strength.
This creates a good balance and a sense of security for customers.
On top of that, the square logo is obviously meant to be a pizza box.
Previously, The Sun had revealed the meaning of the Subway logo.
The Subway signage features white and yellow lettering, with arrows coming off the “S” and the “Y.”
The reason for this simple flourish is more than just aesthetic.

The arrows represent the entering and exiting of a subway car and further symbolize the speedy service that Subway employees offer to their customers.
The logos of other fast-food chains, like McDonald’s, have more dubious meanings.
