WHEN it comes to deep cleaning our homes, many of us don’t even know where to begin.
With so many products out there—from carpet cleaners, to detergents, to shower bleach—it’s difficult to understand what will work best for our home.

A cleaning expert, TikTok’s @Carolina.McCauley, said there’s one secret ingredient that we should all have in our pantries: baking soda.
In her clip, she revealed three ways to use the common household item.
The first tip involved cleaning your carpet.
Carolina said you should sprinkle baking soda over your rugs and carpets, and then vacuum over a few minutes later.
This will help clean and deodorize the surface.
Next, she tackled the sink.
“Mix baking soda and dish soap,” she said.
“Apply to your sink, and watch it shine.”
After scrubbing the sink down with the mixture, Carolina revealed a sparkling silver surface.
And finally, she used baking soda to clean her veggies.
All you have to do is mix it with water in a large bowl, and then let your produce soak in there for a few minutes.
This, she said, will help clean off the pesticides.
As for other cleaning hacks, Carolina has got you covered.
She recently posted a video that taught her viewers how to remove those stubborn stains from their couch—and it can be done in just three simple steps.
First, spray the stains with a glass cleaner.
Next, scrub the area with a “soft sponge” or “scrub fabric.”
Then, wipe the area with a damp cloth and let it dry.
Once it’s dry, the stains should be removed and your couch will look as good as new.
Several people in Carolina’s comment section said they look forward to trying her tip, while others were worried the glass cleaner would discolor the sofa.
