Hula Hoops are a top tier crisp.
They’re crunchy, salty (but also come in an array of flavours) and you can put them on the ends of your fingers – what’s not to love?
If you adore the short, hollow cylinders then a new foodie creation should be on your radar.
The much-loved Hula Hoop now comes in frozen potato ring form – which you can whack in the oven and have for your dinner.
Each one boasts a crispy coating with a fluffy potato centre – so , in many ways, it’s like if a Hula Hoop crisp married a potato waffle or smiley face.
If that wasn’t enough, the new frozen hoops come in a plethora of flavours, such as BBQ beef, original, cheese and onion and salt and vinegar – mimicking their crisp counterparts.
You can pick up the savoury treat from Iceland and Food Warehouse from April 12 – for just £1.50 a bag. Although it looks like some people have found them in selected stores already.
According to Instagram account @Johnssnackfoods, the meaty variety smells ‘exactly like beef hula hoop crisps’ and has ‘a nice fluffy potato taste and a nice crispy skin.’
He also explains that these were originally out in 2013 but were discontinued.
It’s safe to say that people are going wild for the return of the potato rings on Instagram.
One person gushed: ‘Oh my god! I need these in my life.’
While another said: ‘Taking crisps next level.’
Someone else exclaimed: ‘Did you know this was a thing?! Definitely gonna have to try these.’
If you’re a crisp fanatic, Subway’s new menu item will pique your interest. The chain has teamed up with Walkers to add ready salted crisps as a filling option.
