IF we’re going to splash out on anything in our bathroom, it would be a free-standing tub… or maybe even one of those luxury waterfall showers.
And while it’d be nice to have a fresh new floor to match, it comes pretty low down on our list of priorities.

That said, one savvy DIY fan has revealed how she revamped her drab bathroom floor with some bargain stick-on tiles from Dunelm.
Posting on the Facebook group DIY on a Budget Official, the woman explained how she had a leak in her bathroom and had fancied a change anyway.
Sharing stunning before-and-after photos, she wrote: “I’m quite handy at decorating and putting up shelves etc, but had never attempted to lay flooring before, but I gave it a go.”
After picking the £14 geometric tiles, the woman stuck them directly onto the MDF floor and used extra adhesive to keep it in place.

She said: “It really was easy, just fiddly to get around the toilet and waste pipe!”
In total, the project cost £40 for the multiple packs of tiles and the extra glue – and the woman was chuffed with the results.
The post has racked up over 2,100 “likes” on the group – and others were amazed by how professional it looked.
“That is lovely,” one wrote. “Well done!”
