CORONATION Street’s Daniel Brocklebank has revealed his epic beard growth while joking about his “decline” in lockdown.
The 41-year-old, who is better known as vicar Billy Mayhew on the cobbles, took to Instagram with the snap of his untrimmed facial hair.

Comparing himself side-by-side with a selfie from a year ago, the actor found the funny side of his impressive growth.
“An actual depiction of my decline during lockdown,” Daniel wrote, comparing the snaps from February 2020 and February 2021.
The left hand picture sees the star with a clean shaven face and his brunette hair neatly trimmed and brushed back.
Looking like a different man on the right hand image, taken today – Daniel gave a thumbs up to the camera.

His greying hair was left to flop over his forehead, whole his full, messy beard took over the lower half of his face.
Nonetheless, fans seemed to love the new look, joking that he was “still a sexpot” despite the rugged look.
“You look more like George Clooney now,” wrote one woman, later adding: “I wouldn’t complain.”
Another chimed in alongside kiss-face emojis: “Gorgeous then, gorgeous now! No decline, you look rugged.”

“Still lovely and handsome Daniel,” concurred a third while a fourth simply stated: “Still so handsome.”
It’s not the first time Daniel has opened up to his fans about his time in lockdown, previously admitting he was struggling in the pandemic.
Last month he told his followers he was finding it “tough” as the UK entered it’s third national lockdown.
“January can be bleak at the best of times,” he wrote. “But this year especially I know so many of us are finding it rough.”
Shakespeare In Love actor Daniel has depicted criminal-turned-vicar Billy Mayhew on Coronation Street since 2014.
He revealed this week he was back to work on the cobbles after they had two weeks off from filming.
He wrote to fans: “First day back at work this year! It’s so so amazing to be back @coronationstreet & being able to see each other. Even it is masked & at a distance.
“Plus a nice pile of scripts waiting for me… lots of exiting things coming up!!”
