Does tea have caffeine in?
Caffeine occurs naturally within the plant that is used to make tea. An average milky cuppa will have around 47mg of caffeine in, whereas a cup of coffee can have up to 100mg in per cup.
If you leave your teabag to brew for longer, or use hotter water, it’ll draw more caffeine out of the teabag, making it taste stronger.
Don’t worry if you’re looking for a tea fix without the caffeine this year though, as Bird & Blend Tea Co. has a fantastic, well-priced caffeine free tea advent calendar for sale.
Does green tea have caffeine in?
Green tea has caffeine in it, but less than your average cuppa.
While black tea with milk has 47mg, green tea has 33mg.
Infusions and fruit teas like ginger, peppermint, camomile and rooibos don’t have any caffeine at all.
Is tea a diuretic?
Caffeine often makes beverages a diuretic, meaning you’ll urinate more than normal.
However, don’t worry because tea typically has less caffeine in than coffee for example, so it’s unlikely to have a big impact on your weeing habits if you stick to under eight cups a day, according to Heathline.
