In a YouTube clip, she revealed they are out of style and very unflattering.
“They cut your leg off at the worst spot, it cuts your leg off right at the centre of your calf and it makes your legs look way chunkier and way stumpier than they really are.”
She adds that it also tricks your eyes to make it look like your torso is the same length as your legs.
Long legs make you look younger so it’s best to go for ankle pants as they’re more flattering.
This style of shorts has a similar effect as capri pants, cutting you off in all the wrong areas.
The length does nothing for your figure ad can look ageing because of it.
That being said, Shea doesn’t recommend going for Jessica Simpson shorts – instead opt for shorts that cut off just above the knee.
“A lot of people are stuck wearing bulky shoes because they need comfort over style,” Shea explains.
But now you can buy comfortable shoes which are still stylish the fashion expert adds.
“Shop around and you’ll be surprised at how stylish you can be,” she said.
Kid’s style clothing
Anything that is meant to be juvenile, and meant for little girls like Mary Jane shoes will instantly age you.
Cardigans over dresses
That brings Shea onto her next point, cardigans over dresses.
“It seems really juvenile to me, something you see little five and six-year-old girls wearing,” the expert said.
Instead, Shea recommends opting for a blazer over a dress or an oversized cardigan.
Some floral prints can work but overly large ones will often make you look like you went shopping in your nan’s wardrobe.
Shea said: “Big, bulky, bold floral prints make you look older.”
whereas intricate designs make you look more youthful.
Purses with outside pockets
We all like to stay organised but purses with pockets on the outsit instantly add a couple of decades to your age.
“So ageing and it looks so not good,” Shea reveals.
Instead buy a purse organiser to put inside to keep your stuff organised without the dreaded outside pockets.
According to Shea, a study revealed wearing reading glasses ages you by at least five years.
She said there are lots of stylish frames to go for but to stay away from glasses with rhinestones or embellishments.
You might have been in fashion earing matching jewellery sets back in the early 2000s but that isn’t the case anymore.
The fashion expert explained: “It’s definitely ageing you and making you look way older than you are.”
“Mix and match your metals, it’s a great way to look youthful,” she adds.
Although Shea is a brunette, she recommends experimenting with lighter blonde hair colours to look more youthful.
She said once you start going grey, brunette hair often highlights their appearance and it’s a good idea to gradually go lighter as you transition.
“It masks the greys as they come in and just gives you a much more youthful appearance,” she adds.
