Applying makeup can be a messy job if you’re using the back of your hand – which, let’s face it, most of us are.
But nail artist and jewellery designer Betina Goldstein has come up with a brilliant new way of doing everyday makeup and nail art.
Taking inspiration from an artist’s palette, Betina has made a mini version of this handy tool, in ring form. It neatly sits on your finger and allows you to apply away to your heart’s content.
Not to mention the gold ring itself is so gorgeous, you can keep it on and wear it out after you’ve finished your beauty routine.

Betina tells Metro.co.uk: ‘I designed the Artist Palette ring to have wells and grooves, which are ideal for holding polish (or cosmetic product) while working, allowing the artist to achieve a hands-free application of their product.
‘The Artist Palette ring is also great for eyelash application (glue and individual lashes) or makeup application.’

The ring is available from Doublemoss Arte for $96.00 (around £68) from February 19th – sadly UK shipping isn’t an option yet, but no doubt it will be very soon.
Betina has uploaded some videos of the ring in action, over on her Instagram, showing the different cosmetic purposes it can be used for.
If that wasn’t enough, she’s also created three different brushes, which are built to stand the test of time.
These genius designs came about after Betina discovered that her tools weren’t giving her the longevity she’d hoped for.

She adds: ‘Being an editorial and campaign nail artist for the past nine years, you can imagine that I use nail art brushes and cosmetic tools every day. I found myself frequently replacing my nail art brushes and tools due to the lesser quality of the materials used to create them.
‘The constant exposure to varnish and harsh solvents like acetone would deteriorate my brushes and palettes within a couple of uses.
‘I launched Doublemoss Arte to redefine what beauty art tools should be. Being crafted from solid brass, our Primero brush set and Artist palette ring are durable and aesthetically pleasing.
‘I wanted artists to feel confident that their tools are there to support their creations, not get in the way.’

All the pieces are made out of brass because it has a natural resistance to acetone and the harsh effects of alcohol.
‘Our polished brass is stunning to look at and easy to clean or sanitise at home,’ she adds.
Betina says her aim for the future is to expand her collection of professional luxury tools for artists in the beauty industry.
We can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
