After putting on a brave face during the procession and ceremony, the Royals gathered outside St George’s Chapel in Windsor.
Trying her best to console him, the photographs show Kate Middleton putting a loving hand around Prince Charles’ shoulder.
She then gives him a quick kiss on the cheek before they all parted ways and left the chapel.
According to body language expert Judi James, Prince Charles was “overcome by grief” during the funeral.
The expert claimed Prince Charles has “spent a lifetime masking his emotions in public” but his tears appeared to “flow throughout the service”.

Speaking to the Express, Judi said that Camilla was seen “comforting” her husband with “the same comforting hand-pat that she often used to use in the early days after their relationship went public”.
According to the body language expert, this shows the “same supportive and almost maternal traits that seemed to bind them as a couple before their marriage”.
The Queen sat alone during the service and separate from other members of the Royal Family.
Judi said that the monarch looked “solitary and isolated during the service” and that “Charles’s tears might have been a sign that he is now feeling the same without his father to guide him”.
Moments after consoling her father-in-law, Kate was seen playing peacemaker as she helped her husband Prince William chat with his brother Prince Harry.
The Dukes were meeting for the first time in more than a year – in which time Harry has courted controversy by quitting royal duties and giving an interview with Oprah alongside his wife Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry was seen walking and talking with Prince William and Kate
After the emotional service, Harry was seen talking with William and the Duchess of Cambridge as the group left the moving funeral.
William has previously called his wife the “peacemaker” between the brothers – and today Kate stepped back to allow the pair to speak.
A royal source said: “It looked like a conciliatory move by William to wait for Harry and allow him to catch up and chat to him and Kate. That could be a significant moment.
“Harry appeared grateful for the opportunity, and Kate seemed to make a point of letting the brothers walk alone together, having briefly chatted to Harry as well.
“They have a lot to iron out and you would hope they continued their conversation back at Windsor Castle
“It was only a few minutes in front of the cameras but it was warm and cordial. It appeared Charles paused and looked back to his sons together.
“It is believed they have spoken on the phone since Harry flew back to the UK. They have so much to speak about.
“Funerals have the ability to bring people together and I am sure that it would have warmed the heart of Prince Philip, if he could have seen that brief coming together.”
