David’s father was a well-known football player who played for Houston Oilers and Washington Redskins during his professional career. He was known for his nickname “The Hammer” because he would hit opposing players hard with his tackles. He currently works as a football analyst for CBS Sports Network and ESPN Radio 98.7 FM in Washington D.C..

David Earl Williams III is an American actor and musician. He was born in Chicago Illinois on January 16th, 1963. David grew up in Arlington Heights and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in Communications.
David’s career started when he was cast as the title character in “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, CT. In October 2000, he joined Troop 320 out of Fort Worth, Texas where he began working on his Star rank requirements by earning five merit badges: Camping; Cooking; Citizenship in the Community; Personal Fitness; and Emergency Preparedness (all this while still attending school). He then moved up to Tenderfoot rank in January 2001 where he continued working on his Star rank requirements by earning six more merit badges: American Business Enterprise; American Labor Movement; Personal Management; Citizenship in the Nation (National Parks); Environmental Science (Wilderness Survival); Citizenship in the World (International Affairs).
